Music for a Cause – “Ladies first: quinTTTonic meets Festival Brass”

On Wednesday, April 30, 2025, at 8:00 PM, a very special charity concert will take place at the Volkshaus Jena: The Internationale Junge Orchesterakademie celebrates its 15th guest performance in cooperation with the Friedrich Schiller University Jena, this time under the theme “Ladies first – quinTTTonic meets Festival Brass.”

Under the artistic direction of Prof. Erich Rinner and Alexander Richter, 14 talented musicians will present a diverse selection of pieces – from Bach, Schubert, Strauß, and Gershwin to well-known film and television melodies.

This evening offers more than just musical enjoyment – it is a heartfelt initiative to support children with cancer and serious illnesses in Jena.

The International Young Orchestra Academy, founded by Prof. Dr. Ulrich S. Schubert, pursues three main goals: the promotion of young musicians, the advancement of cultural exchange, and support for the most vulnerable in our society.
