...on the latest developments in the field of organic active materials for thin film batteries.

These organic substances are intended to replace metal-containing active materials, which have been dominant up to now. Thus, batteries can be built that provide increased safety and an improved environmental balance, and that can be very thin and mechanically flexible. The article entitled "Sustainable Energy Storage: Recent Trends and Developments toward Fully Organic Batteries" presents various organic active materials that have been published in recent years, highlighting systems that work completely without metallic compounds.
